Debutant director L.V. Elangovan has brought out a pretty good movie based on a triangular love story. He has tried to bring in the subjects of caste also which seems to be a little outdated in today's world of movies. The movie is set up in a village backdrop.

Mahadevan and Sharanya adopt Prabha, a lower caste boy, as they have no children. Karthika, daughter of Shanmugaraja, falls in love with Prabha, her aunt's son. But on the contrary, Prabha falls in love with Mayuka. After Karthika realizes this fact, she becomes calm and composed. But Shanmugaraja decides to get his daughter Karthika married to Prabha as there is a lot of property in his name. But Prabha is totally against this. Shanmugharaja gets very angry and kills Mahadevanan and Sharanya. What happens in the cremation ground? Will Prabha and Mayuka marry? This forms the climax.

Bharadwaj's music is pleasing and added musical relief to the movie. The director has failed to add depth to the love scenes between Prabha and Mayuka. Karthika has done a good show. This is a good effort by debutant director Elangovan.
